2 ply Briggs and Little Heritage wool, woven in 2/2 Twill. Each blanket is about 40" wide and extra long at 75". Perfect for a cozy couch throw, picnic or wrap.
When weaving, there is a full repeat of the tartan pattern on each end (the Header and the Footer, in weaving terms!) and then the middle is woven with one colour, (in this case the Paddy Green) which speeds up the handweaving a bit. Liz the weaver doesn't have to change colours at every turn, and I think it adds a bit of modern flair to an ancient design!
